Photos featured at Fashion and Compassion Charity Gala

It delights us to announce that some of my photos will be featured at the UVSA Northern California Charity Gala benefiting the Asian American Donor Program. The event will be held April 3rd, 2010. The photos were done in collaboration with Stella and Dot stylist Pauline Le, with the talents of model Ari Brugh and make-up artist extraordinaire Joli de Jackie. For more details, please visit the event’s site here.

Precious Adornments

I’ve been wanting to do some beauty shots to showcase jewelry from Stella & Dot, whom my friend Pauline is a stylist for. We figured it would be fun to feature some pieces from their new collection. Jackie (of Joli de Jackie), the make-up artist, did a wonderful job and Ari was stunning – she seriously nailed every shot! The end result: stunning sophistication and simple beauty.

I also had a Goorin fedora hat that a friend had given me and I thought it would be fun and sassy. Ari totally rocked the hat!

Finding delight in strawberry fields

Not the typical Saturday spent at the movies or other such things. Nope. Not even close. Try a Saturday with a dark haired, blue-eyed beauty, a talented hair stylist, and a superb make-up artist in a niche of the Hayward hills. Justina did a great job with the hair, as always, and even added a little touch of her crafty side with mini top hats adorned with feathers and pearls. Tiffany went for the subtle but still stellar eye makeup with a kick of red lipstick. All was picture-perfect! Once make-up and hair were done, we headed to Bijou Restaurant and Bar to set up shoot.

Owner Benjamin Young was more than accommodating and was delighted to have us shoot at his wonderful restaurant, which serves up “contemporary French/California cuisine, offered at reasonable prices, prepared by Executive Chef Christian Nam-Hee using seasonal, fresh and often locally sourced, organic ingredients.” After the shoot, we delighted in a cocktail perfectly dubbed “Strawberry Fields Forever” containing “fresh strawberries and fresh basil from the garden, barenjager Honey Liqueur for some subtle honey flavor, locally distilled 20 Gin and hand pressed orange and lemon juices” – a concoction I definitely recommend!

Divine Decadence

This photo was from one of the photoshoots I did last year with Megan. This photo makes me smile everytime 🙂

This was a photo from my very first shoot with Megan. She’s been a joy to work with each time! Many thanks to Jennifer Judge and Sofia Reynolds for an excellent shoot!
