Featured: Kreeya’s new fashion line

Our friends at Kreeya have launch their new line of designers and had commissioned Vivian Sachs Photography to do all photography for their site 🙂

One of my favorite products on their site are the Peasant and Traveler bags! Check out some of their stuff!

Check out the fashion spread in the October 2010 issue for M Magazine. Special thanks to gorgeous model Megan, talented make-up artist Joli de Jackie and photographer’s assistant Rosann Yip for their work on this shoot! We did it. Many thanks to everyone at M Magazine as well!

Sprouting Seeds

Opening today in the Inner Richmond in San Francisco on Clement Street is Seedstore, a homegrown clothing store stocked with old school clothing brands and a few independent brands. It’s been great working with Seedstore the past few weeks to get their look book as well as other images out. It’s been a productive “all work and all fun” time. Check out some images from the look book!

Browse the rest of the Seedstore lookbook here.

Seedstore, here’s to happy beginnings!

Photos featured at Fashion and Compassion Charity Gala

It delights us to announce that some of my photos will be featured at the UVSA Northern California Charity Gala benefiting the Asian American Donor Program. The event will be held April 3rd, 2010. The photos were done in collaboration with Stella and Dot stylist Pauline Le, with the talents of model Ari Brugh and make-up artist extraordinaire Joli de Jackie. For more details, please visit the event’s site here.

Babybuzz’s Winning Photo

Babybuzz held a photo contest for the Most Beautiful Belly Contest. Judy Dang, whom I shot maternity photos for last year had submitted one of the photos I took of her and little Natalie. Well, turns out the photo made it as one of the top ten finalists in Babybuzz’s Beautiful Belly Contest! The winning photo was announced today and Judy won! She receives a $50 BabyBuzz gift certificate to spend on herself, Natalie and baby Kylie! I’m super excited for them! Congratulations Judy!!!

Precious Adornments

I’ve been wanting to do some beauty shots to showcase jewelry from Stella & Dot, whom my friend Pauline is a stylist for. We figured it would be fun to feature some pieces from their new collection. Jackie (of Joli de Jackie), the make-up artist, did a wonderful job and Ari was stunning – she seriously nailed every shot! The end result: stunning sophistication and simple beauty.

I also had a Goorin fedora hat that a friend had given me and I thought it would be fun and sassy. Ari totally rocked the hat!

Saturday night was a big night for me and William. After all the planning since mid-February, things really felt like they paid off even if it was ten months of preparation work crammed into one night. (Things have been crazy hectic the past few weeks prior to the event hence my blog hasn’t been updated for a while.) In any case, good turn out, good times and good friends. Thank goodness 🙂

Thanks to all the models, MUAs, hair stylists and wardrobe designers/stylists that contributed to this huge event! I could not have done it without your talents as well!

Special thanks also to James Burns (Thank you for your love and support!), Ann Tran, Hung Tran, Jennifer Tran, Hong Howie, Sonja Skendzic Kellogg for helping me coordinate the big night (Cheers to family!) and of course to the wonderful people at Space Gallery for having me and to Doro for her delectable Sweetiecup cupcakes 🙂 You guys are the best!

Kazu Makino mentioned, with regard to bicycles, that “In Paris, they have public bicycles that you can use anywhere in the city and leave at your destination. It’s great, but there are a few hills in Paris, too. In the morning, the bikes are distributed evenly, but at the end of the day, all of the bikes are at the bottom of the hill because everyone is too lazy to go up hill.”
Interview with Matt Crawford of SFSTATION

Thursday night. Got my photo pass and Tyrannosaurus Rex stamp ready to go. Blonde Redhead was there 14-15 July 2009 for the SF Bike Film Festival at The Independent with Thee Oh Sees opening. I was all of a sudden nostalgic for all those years in college when all the songs on “Misery is a Butterfly” would lull me to sleep…
