Let’s talk baby

Karen and Albert were hitched back in August 2009, so you can imagine the sheer joy I felt when I heard that they had a little one on the way. It is exciting when clients are able to share the biggest news in their lives with me and for me to be so lucky to have the opportunity to capture each milestone.

These tiny shoes were darling!

Ironically, Albert had jokingly forewarned Karen that this would be the most exciting maternity shoot. Little did we know that he was right…

As soon as they started walking on the tracks, a train was well on its way. What an unforgettable experience! It is one of those moments when you think something may happen and it actually happens.

The colors of this dress that Karen picked out really brought out that beautiful mother aura in Karen.

This has to be by far my favorite maternity shoot to date. It was not quite sunny outside… overcast to be exact… but my absolute favorite weather to shoot in. Also, I have been playing around in Lightroom a lot and have created a new treatment that I adore. Every image is simply precious and even I am mesmerized by the delicate colors and undertones in each image. Hope you liked them too!

wedding | amanda + brian

This is one of the sweetest couples I have met. It is funny because I already spotted them out at Starbucks when we met our consult well before even knowing what they looked like. Prior to meeting them face-to-face was just email correspondence as with all the clients I meet with. That day, Brian had Amanda in full embrace. I find it endearing that the same embrace Brian had Amanda in on the day of the consult was the same embrace he had on her after their beautiful wedding ceremony. Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at a private residence in Atherton, California.

Amanda and her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning.

The navy and silver theme of the wedding was so vibrant and classy.

Pre-ceremony refreshments never looked so irresistible.

Gorgeous white cake.

Brian and his groomsmen.

The details 🙂

Amanda and the flower girl before the ceremony. Kisses and hugs all around… so precious!!!

The ring bearer before the ceremony. Isn’t he the cutest little kid you’ve ever seen?

Everyone is ready to go!

The little things like this always makes me sigh with delight. I am always so happy for couples when they find the love of their life 🙂

It’s the embrace I was talking about!

Congratulations to Amanda and Brian and cheers to more happy times!

David @ Ford Models – Miami

I got a chance to shoot with David from Ford Models this past weekend before he flew out to Miami. I must say he is one of the most entertaining male models I have worked with by far. Myself and the other models could not stop laughing. He is quite a character. Cheers to David and happy modeling! I wish him nothing but the best in his career. Thanks to Josephine Harmon for the suave make-up and hair!

iPhone Love

Daisi and Kevin were married this past weekend and it was one crazy celebration. I was so excited to meet Sigmund and his wife from REB6studios covering Daisi and Kevin’s wedding. Working with Sigmund and his team was a wonderful experience, especially when he made Daisi and Kevin run and twirl while he did the same. Check out his video below – shot and edited all in the same day!

He is such a talent and I definitely recommend his work to everyone. If you’ve already booked a wedding with me and are looking for a videographer… *wink wink. I would love the opportunity to work with Sigmund and his team again as we work so well together. It’s not longer wedding videography folks… It’s all about wedding cinematography. And REB6studios delivers.

engagement | daisi + kevin

Boy, was it hot when we shot Daisi and Kevin’s engagement session! It must have been at least 100 degrees out that day. Regardless, Daisi still looked so elegant with her 60s inspired hair and makeup by Joli de Jackie. Jackie always does such a flawless job and it’s always a pleasure working with her!

I love the little print-out note that Daisi brought!

These block letters were so adorable, I had to get it for Daisi and Kevin for their session.

Doesn’t Daisi look to gorgeous here? I love her dress! Simple yet so sophisticated.

Daisi and Kevin even brought their Beagle, who was howling with excitement the whole time 🙂

Stay tuned for photos from their wedding coming up in a few weeks!

featured | Femme Fetale for M Magazine

Check out the fashion spread in the October 2010 issue for M Magazine. Special thanks to gorgeous model Megan, talented make-up artist Joli de Jackie and photographer’s assistant Rosann Yip for their work on this shoot! We did it. Many thanks to everyone at M Magazine as well!

Ratatat @ the Warfield

It has been a while since I had gone to a concert and I have to admit I miss the scenery and blowing out my ears with good auditory sensations. Ratatat, one of my favorite bands, played on Friday night and although I didn’t get to bring my camera with me, I still managed to get some photos with the point-and-shoot. It’s funny how I always initially try to hold any point-and-shoot up to my eye, then realizing it’s not one of my own cameras. The concert was definitely a treat after 4 months of non-stop work and late-night edits. They had an awesome encore, ending with “17 years,” my all-time favorite. My ears were still ringing the next morning… Success!
Check out some of the photos!

For the encore, the sky fell on the crowd 😉

tashina + james

tashina and james showed up with a bunch of props in their car… along with their dog. we had no idea where we were going and just started driving and luckily found our way to some great marshland, docks and aged canning buildings to shoot at.

giant green glasses and a clown nose were some of the few quirky things they had in their car.

and the grand finale of the random things in the car (and also made for a hilarious ending to the engagement session) …

their wedding is also just around the corner. stay tuned for some pretty snazzy and fun wedding photos!

engagement | michelle + lucas

Even the cold early midday breeze on Baker Beach couldn’t keep us from having a pleasant engagement shoot for Michelle and Lucas. Michelle is actually from Singapore and flew in for the weekend to do the shoot and visit her sweetheart Lucas. It is always so amazing to me how couples can endure such distances from one another but that’s love right?
