Dancing with myself
This song always makes me smile. And the music video is so cute! I want to do a photo shoot with this song playing in the background!
Nouvelle Vague will be at The Regency Ballroom on February 7th, 2010.
Ringing in the New Year
Cheers to a new year! Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! May 2010 be filled with many more memories that bring a smile to each and everyone of you! Have fun celebrating everyone!
Excess baggage…
… I think not! My new Jill-e small yellow nylon camera bag was the best gift this Christmas! It is made of waterproof nylon and has a cute polka dot padded interior. I love all the little pockets for memory cards, batteries, and other miscellaneous items. The bag can accomodate one camera body, one flash, and two lenses. A definite recommendation!

These bags are great for the female photographer who craves the stylish look compared to most other camera bags out there. They even have a sleek line for male photographers as well, suitably dubbed “jack.”

There will always be a soft spot for Leica’s in my heart ever since my brother first mentioned them to me. Fortunately, my brother and I had the chance to test out the M7 and M8 for a weekend during Leica’s Test Drive promotion. These rangefinder cameras are a lot of fun to use, not to mention their attractive design and impeccable quality. Now, Leica has come out with the Leica à la Carte – a fully customizable camera “available through an online Configurator, [where] a user can choose between the Leica MP or Leica M7, and then delve deeper into over four thousand technical and styling choices. In additional to a myriad of technical selections, options get as in-depth as the lens cap color, leather trim, viewfinder frame-lines, controls, and personalized engraving.” They even have custom lizard or ostrich embossing – further pushing the customization level into the more exotic realm!
Here is my custom Leica à la Carte w/0.58 focal length set for the 0.58x viewfinder magnification that includes the frame pair/frames for 28 and 90mm, 35mm, and 50mm (if and when I get one – price starts at 4560 USD):

Iluna Basque
Mattin Noblia is a restaurant owner and model, who impressively started his own tapas restaurant called Iluna Basque, set in the heart of North Beach in San Francisco, at the age of 23. I shot with Mattin Noblia almost 2 years ago when I enlisted him to do a shoot along with model Radilina, for a Koji Sake Lounge (San Jose, CA) print advertisement project. Anyway, long story short, I recently found out that he had made it to the Top Chef competition on BravoTV for the upcoming season, set to air on August 26th at 9pm! Congratulations Mattin! I encourage everyone to drop by Iluna Basque – the food is absolutely delightful!
