With the holidays fast approaching, we were a little inspired for our holiday goodie list when we stopped by Curator on Church Street in San Francisco for some photos for Β Nudgit.
Pictured above is some of Dram‘s artisan bitters. Their “Hair of the Dog” caught our eye because if you don’t know already, it’s a colloquial expression referred to alcohol that is consumed with the aim of lessening the effects of a hangover. Clever right?
Saipua is based out of Brooklyn, NYC. Not only do they make wonderful aromatic soaps, but they’ve also got a talented flower team to style flowers for all occasions.
Kris Nations stemmed fromΒ equal parts sophisticated and bohemian style, with a little vintage inspiration thrown into the mix, of two sisters from Half Moon Bay.
Both Tim and Yvonne are in the film industry and although we all hadn’t planned it, the images from their engagement session seemed to be inspired by the unique styles of several Hollywood directors. The session started out with the usual pretty photos and somehow became more and more interesting as the day progressed. See for yourself and try to guess which movie each image is inspired by.

Even their 3-year old pit bull, Mochi, made a cameo. It would come as a shock and it’d have to be seen to be believed, but Mochi has very human-like qualities. She’s also quite the spoiled brat sometimes and can tell you when she wants to go out by actually saying “Out”… Crazy right?

Tiffany and Peter have to be one of the sweetest couples I’ve worked with, and it probably seems like I’ve been saying that a lot lately, but it seems like the couples that find us are all just darlings! Tiffany had such great charisma and sentiment in front of the camera and just seeing the dynamics between her and Peter through the lens made my heart melt. Here are two people that truly love and appreciate each other. Both of them are working hard to become individuals that can help others and contribute something greater to the world. It’s so apparent through spending times with them and seeing them through the camera that they put a great sense of devotion into every aspect of their lives, including their love for each other π
Three days in Los Angeles just made my head spin.
Engagement session on Day One.
Location scouting + editorial shoot on Day Two.

Invite from my dear friends Lily and Vincent to the Ellen Show, with guest stars Robin Williams and Pharrell on Day Three before hopping on a plane right back to San Francisco.
Then during the show, we find out we’ll be back in LA for Ellen’s 12 days of Giveaways episode in two weeks. Not all of it really sank in yet with all the holiday bustle, but I am feelingΒ VERY MUCH blessed for all the wonderful people in my life and the whirlwind of experiences that come my way. The love and support from everyone I am surrounded by means more to me than words can EVER express.
Today, Pearl and Ricky invited all their vendors out to lunch for a little reunion to reminisce about their incredible Tim Burton-themed wedding. We can’t say how nice it was for a couple to do that for their vendors. Alex fromΒ Alex Vo FilmsΒ shared hisΒ highlight videoΒ and we haven’t seen anything like it in the wedding film industry. We’re really looking forward to sharing it with everyone soon!
Pearl and Ricky are big Tim Burton fans and their vision for their special day was inspired by his unique style. They knew they wanted something simple, not too cliche and something with a little more sophistication that wouldn’t go out of date years from now. So they did something unlike any other couple and gave their vendors full creative reign, trusting them to use their talents to make the couples’ vision come true. The results were unlike any other wedding we’ve ever seen and we’re honored to have shot such a unique wedding πΒ You can view the EPIC highlight video by AlexΒ here!

We were thrilled to see the Basaca family again this holiday time of year! The kids have grown so fast and it’s such a warm feeling inside when the kids remember me and come running up to hug me π
Here are some of our favorites!
We’re all booked up for the rest of this year but you can always book your holiday session a year in advance π
Stay tuned on Black Friday… we’ll be having a special flash pre-sale for portrait session π
