wedding | chen + kentaro

Chen knocked on my door the night prior to the wedding the next morning to hand me the schedule. She had just gotten off work, ran a bunch of pre-wedding day errands and finally drove to Monterey to check into her hotel. She was ready for her wedding and surprisingly not nervous or anxious at all. She and Kentaro had meet through mutual friends and both shared a love for running. Hence, the early morning wedding the next day…. the newly wedded couple was going to run a marathon the next day! Chen was the only girl that could outrun Kentaro. As a result, love blossomed. I have always loved asking how couples meet because it’s stories like these that are just so interesting.

Happy sun + beach = lovely laidback wedding

This is one of my favorite photos from the wedding day of the flower girl.

The blue bridesmaids dresses were so vibrant! Love it.

Reception time!

The chocolate dessert bar they had.

Kentaro’s parents made very touching speeches.

Chen’s father… more focused on his steak during the speeches. So cute!

Another great candid.

What a nice way to end the wedding season, then with a holiday wedding. Anne and Sugi were married on December 18, 2010 and Christmas decorations at the Santa Clara Marriott added a cozy holiday feel to their special day. The gingerbread display in the hotel lobby was a photo delight for me especially.
Stay tuned for more photos from their wedding.

Out-of-the-box and wild would be a way to describe Tashina and James’ wedding. Their wedding in Folsom was simple but one speckled with little surprises all over… The cake, being one of my favorites!

Tables for the reception dinner were lined with hot pink and surprise hints of cheetah and zebra print. Chinese fighting fishes were the center pieces along with animal crackers and bright lollipops. On the fences that enclosed the wedding area, there were frames with wildlife animals from around the world. Trees ornamented with white circle lanterns and colorful paper cranes provided shade over the ceremony area. The decoration is all of which that portrayed Tashina’s love for animals and animal print. The detail that really caught my eye was a surprise cake-topper that James had custom painted to perfectly portray him and Tashina!

Cheers to a lovely wedding and congrats to Tashina and James!
wedding | amanda + brian

This is one of the sweetest couples I have met. It is funny because I already spotted them out at Starbucks when we met our consult well before even knowing what they looked like. Prior to meeting them face-to-face was just email correspondence as with all the clients I meet with. That day, Brian had Amanda in full embrace. I find it endearing that the same embrace Brian had Amanda in on the day of the consult was the same embrace he had on her after their beautiful wedding ceremony. Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at a private residence in Atherton, California.

Amanda and her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning.

The navy and silver theme of the wedding was so vibrant and classy.

Pre-ceremony refreshments never looked so irresistible.

Gorgeous white cake.

Brian and his groomsmen.

The details 🙂

Amanda and the flower girl before the ceremony. Kisses and hugs all around… so precious!!!

The ring bearer before the ceremony. Isn’t he the cutest little kid you’ve ever seen?

Everyone is ready to go!

The little things like this always makes me sigh with delight. I am always so happy for couples when they find the love of their life 🙂

It’s the embrace I was talking about!

Congratulations to Amanda and Brian and cheers to more happy times!

Daisi and Kevin were married this past weekend and it was one crazy celebration. I was so excited to meet Sigmund and his wife from REB6studios covering Daisi and Kevin’s wedding. Working with Sigmund and his team was a wonderful experience, especially when he made Daisi and Kevin run and twirl while he did the same. Check out his video below – shot and edited all in the same day!
He is such a talent and I definitely recommend his work to everyone. If you’ve already booked a wedding with me and are looking for a videographer… *wink wink. I would love the opportunity to work with Sigmund and his team again as we work so well together. It’s not longer wedding videography folks… It’s all about wedding cinematography. And REB6studios delivers.
wedding | jenny + dana
Last weekend could not have been more perfect and by perfect, I mean perfect wedding, perfect couple, and of course… perfect lighting! Jenny and Dana could not have been more perfect for each other and after dating since college, friends and family had thought it was about time they made it official, June 19, 2010 to be exact. They held their wedding at Bianci Winery in Paso Robles, about 30 minutes north of San Luis Obispo. The ceremony and reception was just beautiful. If anyone was paying attention to me, they would have seen tears from behind the camera. It was a very touching and heartfelt wedding. Everything about the wedding had a personal touch because friends and family all pitched in. The floral arrangements, cake and cake topper were all crafted by loved ones. Check out the teaser image – everyone is all in for a treat as there were many beautiful images!

wedding | lareina + ryan

Although it was just a small ceremony with family, Lareina and Ryan’s wedding was a sweet one. They actually held a bigger wedding for family and friends in Hawaii! I can only image how beautiful those photos must be but I was happy to be apart of the more intimate wedding ceremony held at the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic church in San Francisco.

Lareina’s shoes were so colorful and pretty!

The ringbearer was absolutely adorable!

Congratulations to you both Lareina and Ryan!!!
